Has anyone been able to compile the Windows XP
source code that leaked a couple of years ago?

I know some tech-reporter did just that be he didn't
want to publish how he did it for fear of legal
repercussion from Microsoft.

Since you asked that, I could only think that, you haven't actually tried it
yourself.

Anyone who claimed he/she has compiled the whole leaked Windows XP source
code, is either lying or only compiled part of the whole thing.

Because the leaked Windows XP source code, is incomplete.
And it's much worse that the leaked Windows 2000.

.
He claimed the only part he didn't have the source code of
was "winlogon.exe". He copied the binary from another Windows
XP installation and the compiled system worked.
